In the summer, we help students bridge a skills gap & consolidate & extend their numeracy & algebraic processes. They develop exam confidence & techniques. We help them prepare for IGCSE & AS Level exam resits in Autumn & prepare for competitive maths entry tests required by elite universities (SAT, ACT, TMUA, Bocconi etc.). We also help student's get ahead with next term's work.
English & literature
bridge the gap
In the summer, we help students consolidate their skills in English Language & Literature for IGCSE, A Level & IB. We help students analyse & respond effectively to poetry & prose. They learn how to write creatively & get ahead with course-work or work for next term. We help students prepare for resit exams in IGCSE & A Level in the Autumn & also guide students with planning, researching & writing their IB extended essays or Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ).

Language skills & confidence are easy to lose over the long summer break. We help students build confidence in the language, practise their skills, & consolidate & extend their language learning in a personalised, practical & communicative way.
We also help students prepare for an official English l language exam (required for UK Student visa & many universities abroad & degree programmes in English in Spain): FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, Linguaskills, APTIS.

We also prepare students for the DELF exams for French (A1-C1) & the Goethe exams for German.

The summers of years 12 & 13 are an ideal time to do interesting activities to prepare for university.
We help students develop a strong super-curricular profile ready to make university applications abroad. We suggest relevant activities, projects, work & volunteering experiences, presential & online courses & background reading.

We also make a start with degree & Master's course-searching, writing the Personal Statement or motivation letter & completing application forms.
